Birth Doula Care

Support begins prenatally...

My birth support begins with two prenatal visits to your home to discuss your questions, expectations,  and concerns around your birth.  Additionally, in between these visits I am available for phone, text, and email support to answer questions that may pop up.

This support typically includes:

  • Prenatal resources and referrals such as workshops or childbirth education offerings
  • Help and guidance in creating a birth plan and if you are choosing to nurse your baby, developing a plan around that as well.
  • References for extended needs - massage, acupuncture, chiropractor, and more!
  • On call labor support beginning in your 38th week
  • Complete and unconditional support through active labor at your chosen birthing location
  • Immediate postpartum support for approximately 2 hours after the birth
    - Warm and familiar company while you are in recovery
    - Assistance with initial family bonding
    - Encouragement and early help with nursing your baby
    from a Certified Lactation Consultant
  • Immediate follow up once you return home from
the hospital to ensure you are still feeling confident and
    supported.
  • 1 postpartum visit between 1 and 2 weeks later to discuss
your experiences, a postpartum plan, and to make sure
you will continue to feel supported as you welcome your
    newborn into your family.
