My birth support begins with two prenatal visits to your home to discuss your questions, expectations, and concerns around your birth. Additionally, in between these visits I am available for phone, text, and email support to answer questions that may pop up.
This support typically includes:
- Prenatal resources and referrals such as workshops or childbirth education offerings
- Help and guidance in creating a birth plan and if you are choosing to nurse your baby, developing a plan around that as well.
- References for extended needs - massage, acupuncture, chiropractor, and more!
- On call labor support beginning in your 38th week
- Complete and unconditional support through active labor at your chosen birthing location
- Immediate postpartum support for approximately 2 hours after the birth
- Warm and familiar company while you are in recovery
- Assistance with initial family bonding
- Encouragement and early help with nursing your baby
from a Certified Lactation Consultant
- Immediate follow up once you return home from
the hospital to ensure you are still feeling confident and
supported.
- 1 postpartum visit between 1 and 2 weeks later to discuss
your experiences, a postpartum plan, and to make sure
you will continue to feel supported as you welcome your
newborn into your family.
